As we were thinking of his encounter with Jesus in heaven and the beauty of that moment, we can only imagine how sweet the words of the Master were to this man's ears: "Well done, faithful servant!" We know that he will be rewarded not for the thousands of people who believed in Jesus through his preaching, because that has been a work of the Holy Spirit, but for his faithfulness to the call.

Pensando al suo incontro con Gesù in cielo e alla bellezza di quel momento, possiamo solo immaginare quale sia la dolcezza del suono delle parole del Maestro alle orecchie e al cuore di questo uomo: “Ben fatto, bravo e fedele servitore!” Sappiamo che lui sarà premiato non per i milioni di persone che si sono convertite tramite le sue predicazioni perché quella è stata un’opera dello Spirito Santo. Ciò per cui sarà premiato è la sua fedeltà alla chiamata.
